在 CERN 的中子飞行时间设施 n_TOF 上,测量了Ni 的截面,能量范围从 27 meV 到 400 keV。总共分析了高达 122 keV 的 51 个共振。计算了恒星温度 kT5-100 keV 下的麦克斯韦平均截面 (MACS),不确定度小于 6%,显示出与高达 kT = 50 keV 的近期实验和评估数据有良好的一致性。本工作在 30 keV 提取的 MACS 为 34.20.61.8 mb,与最新结果和评估一致,但比近期的天体物理截面 KADoNIS 汇编低 12%。当将其纳入大质量恒星的 s-过程核合成模型时,这一变化导致Ni 的丰度增加 60%,而对更重同位素的传播影响可忽略不计。原因是,无论使用旧的还是新的 MACS,58Ni 都会通过中子俘获被有效耗尽。
