证明罕见衰变 B+ --> Ds+ pi0 的存在

摘要
我们搜索了罕见衰变 B+ --> Ds+ pi0。该分析基于使用 PEP-II e+ e- 存储环中 BABAR 检测器收集的 2.32 亿个 Upsilon(4S) --> B anti-B 衰变样本。我们发现 19.6 个信号事件，显著性为 4.7 个西格玛。提取的信号产量（包括统计与系统不确定性）为 20.1+6.8+0.4 -6.0-1.5，我们测得 B(B+ --> Ds+ pi0) =(1.5 +0.5 -0.4 +- 0.1 +- 0.2) 10^-5，其中第一个不确定性为统计，第二个为系统，不确定性来自 Ds+ 衰变及其子女衰变分支比例的不确定性。
