摘要
在洛斯阿拉莫斯介子物理设施上利用来自 π^+ 飞行衰变的 ν_μ 进行了 ν_μ → ν_e 振荡的搜寻。观测到来自 C(ν_e,e^-)X 包容反应的束流相关事件数超出。该超出太大,无法以大于 99% 的置信度用束流中正常 ν_e 污染解释。若解释为振荡信号,观测到的 (2.6 ± 1.0 ± 0.5) × 10^{-3} 振荡概率与 LSND 先前报道的 ν_μ_bar → ν_e_bar 振荡证据一致。
