B -> D(*) Tau Nu 衰变超出预期的证据

摘要
基于完整的BaBar数据样本，我们报告了比值 R(D(*)) = B(B -> D(*) Tau Nu)/B(B -> D(*) l Nu)（其中 l 为 e 或 μ）的改进测量结果。这些比值对带电希格斯玻色子形式的新物理贡献敏感。我们测得 R(D) = 0.440 ± 0.058 ± 0.042 和 R(D*) = 0.332 ± 0.024 ± 0.018，分别超出标准模型预期 2.0σ 和 2.7σ。综合来看，我们的结果与这些预期在 3.4σ 水平上不一致。这种超出不能用 II 型双希格斯二重态模型中的带电希格斯玻色子解释。我们还报告了衰变 B -> D Tau Nu 的观测结果，显著性为 6.8σ。
