Ic型超新星PTF 10vgv的致密沃尔夫-拉叶星前身星证据

摘要

我们报告了由帕洛马瞬变工厂使用帕洛马48英寸望远镜(P48)发现的Ic型超新星PTF 10vgv。P48对PTF 10vgv天区的R波段观测探测了该超新星从极早期阶段(R波段极大前约两周)的辐射,并设定了其发现前一周内的流量上限。我们灵敏的上限和早期探测约束了该事件的激波突破后光度。通过与数值(解析)模型比较,我们推导出前身星半径的上限为R \lesssim 4.5 Rsun(R \lesssim 1 Rsun),这直接表明其是一颗致密的沃尔夫-拉叶星。对SN 1994I的历史观测进行类似分析,得出该超新星前身星半径的上限为R \lesssim 1/4 Rsun。
