欧几里得各项成像巡天将通过对前所未有的 15000 平方度区域进行高空间分辨率成像,成为星系形态学研究的重要参考。为理解从欧几里得探测星系测量形态学的能力并协助在流水线中实现测量,我们开展了欧几里得形态学挑战,并以两篇论文呈现。Merlin 等人的 companion 论文聚焦于测光分析,本文则评估了在欧几里得宽巡天预测图像中参数化星系形态学测量的精度。我们在约 150 万颗模拟星系样本上评估了五种最先进的面亮度拟合代码 DeepLeGATo、Galapagos-2、Morfometryka、Profit 和 SourceXtractor++ 的性能,这些样本类似于用欧几里得 VIS 和 NIR 仪器所得的简化观测。模拟包含单双组分的分析 S\'ersic 轮廓,以及用神经网络生成的更真实星系。我们发现,尽管存在代码特定的差异,所有方法在理想 S\'ersic 模拟下均能实现可靠的结构测量(10% 散射),极限表观星等约为单组分 23、双组分 21,分别对应信噪比约 1 和 5。我们还表明,当在非分析轮廓上测试时,结果通常因系统误差退化约 3 倍。我们得出结论:欧几里得官方数据发布将在任务结束时为欧几里得宽巡天中至少 4 亿星系提供稳健的结构参数。我们发现解释各代码在暗端不同行为的一个关键因素是各结构参数所采用的先验集合。
