条形年龄估计: 条-AGN-星系形成连接的意义

摘要
为提升我们对条形形成与演化对星系形成与演化影响的理解，我们发展了一种诊断工具，用于区分最近形成的条和已演化的条。我们的方法应用于 14 颗星系的研究，结果显示AGN 活动倾向于出现在拥有年轻条的星系中，而非已演化的条。这表明条形给AGN 供燃料的时间尺度较短，可能帮助解释为何星系中条的存在与AGN之间不存在明确关联。
