共振模式转换介导的光隧穿增强与抑制

摘要
我们表明，通过引入波导特性的微小纵向周期性调制来激发各波导本征模之间的共振转换，可以显著增加或降低光在相邻多模波导之间的隧穿速率。这种转换仅在多模导波结构中存在，会导致功率周期性地转移至高阶模，而高阶模的尾部可与相邻波guide发生显著重叠。因此，相邻波导间的有效耦合常数可在纵向调制参数发生微小变化时改变数个数量级。
