EMU 对低表面亮度大尺度银河系超新星遗迹 G288.8-6.3 的探测

摘要

我们展示了利用澳大利亚平方公里阵列探路者(ASKAP)-宇宙演化地图(EMU)巡天数据偶然探测到的一个新银河系超新星遗迹(SNR)G288.8-6.3。通过多频率分析,我们确认该天体为高银纬、低射电表面亮度的演化银河系 SNR,其典型 SNR 谱指数为 α=0.41±0.12\alpha = -0.41\pm0.12。为确定 SNR G288.8-6.3 中的磁场强度,我们首次推导了谱指数 α>0.5\alpha>-0.5 的 SNR 的能量均分公式。其角尺寸为 1. ⁣8×1. ⁣61.\!^\circ 8\times 1.\!^\circ 6 (107. ⁣6×98. ⁣4)(107.\!^\prime 6 \times 98.\!^\prime 4),我们估计其内禀尺寸约为 40\sim40pc,这意味着距离约为 1.3\sim1.3kpc,位置在银道面之上约 140\sim140pc。这是角尺寸最大且距离最近的银河系 SNR 之一。鉴于其低射电表面亮度,我们推测其年龄约为 13000 年。
