摘要
本文论证，所观察到的太阳表面磁旋力损失的很大一部分，可能代表了太阳和恒星涡旋现象（dynamo）的一种更占主导地位的非线性效应的减少。这种非线性效应与螺旋状和镶嵌状表面结构的内部扭曲（相对于扭绕）成正比。
