通过合并凌星与多普勒系外行星巡天数据开展食双星科学——以MARVELS先导项目与SuperWASP为例

系外行星凌星和多普勒巡天在运行过程中发现大量双星,可用于开展各种辅助科学研究。特别是,食双星可用于研究恒星质量-半径关系,并检验理论恒星演化模型的预测。通过将MARVELS先导项目中发现的24颗双星与SuperWASP测光数据交叉比对,我们发现了两颗新的食双星,TYC 0272-00458-1和TYC 1422-01328-1,并以它们为案例研究,发展了一种处理巡天数据中食双星的通用方法。TYC 0272-00458-1是一颗单线光谱双星,我们通过对主星质量施加合理约束,利用几种不同技术计算了次星质量以及两子星的半径。对于主星质量M_1 = 0.92 +/- 0.1 M_solar,我们得到M_2 = 0.610 +/- 0.036 M_solar,R_1 = 0.932 +/- 0.076 R_solar和R_2 = 0.559 +/- 0.102 R_solar,并发现两颗恒星的质量和半径均与模型预测一致。TYC 1422-01328-1是一个三合星系统,我们可以直接测量其中食双星对的质量和半径。我们发现该食双星对由一颗演化后的主星(M_1 = 1.163 +/- 0.034 M_solar,R_1 = 2.063 +/- 0.058 R_solar)和一颗G型矮星次星(M_2 = 0.905 +/- 0.067 M_solar,R_2 = 0.887 +/- 0.037 R_solar)组成。我们提供了将此分析应用于更大数据集所需的框架。
