W5中的尘埃彗状球状体

摘要
我们报告在属于W5恒星形成区的两个年轻星团中，围绕低质量恒星发现了四个尘埃彗状尾。利用斯皮策空间望远镜的24微米观测数据对观测到的发射轮廓进行拟合，得到尾的寿命< 30 Myr，但更可能< 5 Myr。这一结果表明，彗状相是一种短暂存在的现象，发生在附近O型星的光致蒸发将年轻低质量恒星外盘中的气体移除之后（另见Balog et al. 2006; Balog et al. 2008）。
