LMC中尘埃遮蔽的AGB变星

摘要
利用ISO和地基红外测光数据，讨论了LMC中 obscured AGB星的 光度和周期。这些星的bolometric光度接近从富氧米拉变星导出的周期-光度关系的 外推值，富氧星和富碳星均落在同一关系上。已知在Magellanic云中，存在大量振幅较大的变星，其光度远高于周期-光度关系所预测的值。其中许多可证明正在经历热底燃烧。推测所有光度显著高于周期-光度关系所指示值的 大振幅AGB星都在经历热底燃烧。
