对偶性、弦、空间与时间

摘要
我们综述 M 理论与弦论中的对偶对称性，特别侧重于弦缠绕模和膜包裹模如何导致新的空间维度。包裹在洛伦兹环面上的膜世界体可以产生额外的时间维度，由此对偶性可以改变时间维度数以及空间维度数。这表明膜包裹模和时空动量应处于平等地位，且 M 理论不应在具有确定维数或符号的时空中表述。
