形成扭曲-弯曲向列相（Ntb）的二聚体化合物显示出与焦锥缺陷阵列形成相关的异常光学织构。部分焦锥缺陷展现出具有 8 nm 周期性的亚微米内部结构，该周期性与该材料晶相中发现的周期非常接近，暗示存在表面冻结现象。
