presented 对 NGC 6951 中亮超级新星 SN 2000E 的 CCD 光度测量和低分辨率光谱。其光照曲线延伸至最大后 150 天, 且在最大后 1 个月获得的光谱确认 SN 2000E 为 Type Ia。确定 SN 2000E 的 reddening 为 E(B-V)=0.36+/-0.15, 其误差主要来自对 SN (B-V) 颜色在晚期历元的预测不确定性。对 V(RI)_C 光照曲线采用 Multi-Colour Light Curve Shape (MLCS) 方法进行分析。晚期光照曲线的形状表明 SN 2000E 在最大光度相对于 fiducial SN Ia 高约 0.5 幅。这导致 NGC 6951 (校正星际吸收) 的更新距离为 33+/-8 Mpc。基于 SN 的距离模为 +0.7 幅, 大于先前的 Tully-Fisher 估计。然而, 由于 reddening 确定和对 SN 2000E 最大光度估计的模糊性, 可能导致当前距离测量存在系统误差。
