发现首个红移大于 7 的低光度类星体

摘要

我们报道一个位于 z = 7.07 的类星体的发现,其选自 Hyper Suprime-Cam (HSC) Subaru Strategic Program 巡天所采集的深场多波段成像数据。该类星体 HSC J124353.93+010038.5 的光度比其他已知 z > 7 类星体低一个数量级。其静止帧紫外绝对星等为 M1450 = -24.13 +/- 0.08 mag,热光度 Lbol = (1.4 +/- 0.1) x 10^{46} erg/s。其光学至近红外光谱显示强发射线,并显示出快速气体外流的迹象,表现为 C IV 线蓝移且存在宽吸收线指示。基于 Mg II 的黑洞质量为 Mbh = (3.3 +/- 2.0) x 10^8 Msun,因而表明具有 0.34 +/- 0.20 的 Eddington 比率所对应的中等质量吸积率。它是首个具有亚 Eddington 吸积的 z > 7 类星体,同时也是迄今已知的第三遥远类星体。其光度与黑洞质量可与 Sloan Digital Sky Survey 发现的大多数低红移类星体相当甚至更低,因此该类星体很可能代表了低红移宇宙中常见类星体的 z > 7 对应体。
