SU UMa型矮新星NY Serpentis中standstill的发现

我们发现位于周期间隙中的SU UMa型矮新星NY Ser[轨道周期0.097558(6) d]在2018年两次出现standstill。这是SU UMa型矮新星超爆发之间发生standstill的首次明确证实。standstill期间无超驼峰迹象,且至少有一次超爆发直接由standstill开始。这提供了3:1共振在standstill期间被激发的有力证据。该现象表明吸积盘半径可在standstill期间增大。我们还解释认为,接近潮汐不稳定性极限的条件导致超爆发提前熄灭,致使超爆发后盘中残留大量物质。我们认为盘中接近潮汐不稳定性极限的大量物质导致了standstill(如高吸积率系统NY Ser)或多次再增亮(如低吸积率系统V1006 Cyg)。
