发现蟹状星云的强烈伽马射线耀发

摘要

著名的蟹状星云位于SN1054超新星遗迹的中心。它由一颗自转驱动脉冲星组成,该脉冲星通过相对论性粒子风与周围的星云相互作用。源自脉冲星和星云的发射被认为是基本稳定的。在此,我们报告AGILE卫星在2010年9月和2007年10月观测到的强烈伽马射线(100 MeV-10 GeV)耀发。在这两种情况下,非脉冲通量与非耀发通量相比增加了3倍。耀发光度和短时标表明其起源靠近脉冲星,我们讨论了钱德拉X射线天文台和HST对星云的光学后续观测。我们的观测对星云发射的标准模型提出了挑战,并要求在约1天的时标内通过激波驱动的等离子体波湍流进行幂律加速。
