无负折射的定向衍射

摘要
使用FDTD方法，我们研究了由介质介质中的平行气体圆柱形成的二维光子晶体中的电磁波传播。使用标准平面波展开法计算了相应的频率带结构。我们发现，在部分带隙中，波倾向于向被禁止的方向折射。这一现象或许不必以负折射或“超透镜”行为来解释，与此前所假设的相反。
