我们报告检测到 SgrA* 在 750、850、1350 和 2000 微米波段的线性偏振，这确认了同步辐射的贡献。由于在更长波长处缺乏偏振，表明其来源于亚毫米/亚亚毫米超标量部分。毫米波和亚毫米波结果之间存在显著的极化位置角变化，这些变化在亚毫米波段的偏振尘埃贡献以及各种同步模型中得到讨论。在最能解释数据的模型中，毫米波区域的同步辐射被自吸收，而在亚毫米波区域则趋于透明。这意味着该超标量部分来源于极其致密的源，规模约为 2 个史蒂芬-鲍姆半径。
