我们报告了在原行星状星云（PPN）中首次探测到巴克敏斯特富勒烯（C60）。在IRAS 01005+7910的斯皮策/IRS光谱中探测到了C60在7.0、17.4和18.9微米处的振动跃迁。这一探测表明，富勒烯是在渐近巨星分支之后但在行星状星云阶段之前形成的。与其他源中C60的观测结果进行了比较，并讨论了其对星周化学的启示。
