HIP 7666是一颗在Hipparcos任务期间新发现的变星，被归类为未知类型（ESA 1997）。在2000年7月至2000年11月期间的23个夜晚中，我们从西班牙的Hostalets de Pierola和Monegrillo天文台获得了V波段的超过2300个CCD观测数据。这些数据表明这个新变星是一个轨道周期为2.37229天的分离食双星系统。此外，其中一个成分经历极短周期的振荡，主脉动频率为24.46或25.47 c/d。因此，HIP 7666是目前已知的极少数具有Delta Scuti型成分的分离食双星系统的新成员。
