球形共振质量天线对引力波事件的探测可行性

摘要
我们计算了八个球形共振质量天线与双中子星合并 inspiral 以及快速旋转恒星的动力学和周期性 bar 模态不稳定性引起的引力波之间的信噪比。我们发现,通过采用未来数年内可实现的技术,球形天线可在 15 Mpc 距离处探测中子星 inspiral 和合并,也可在 2 Mpc 距离处探测动力学 bar 模态不稳定性。
