首个圆角阻尼失谐加速器结构(RDDS1)的设计、制造与测量

摘要
作为JLC/NLC研究项目的联合努力,我们开发了一种具有优化圆角腔体的新型阻尼失谐加速器结构(RDDS)。本文讨论该系列首个结构(RDDS1)的一些重要研发方面。设计方面涵盖亚MHz精度的腔胞设计、HOM失谐、耦合与阻尼技术以及尾场模拟。制造方面涵盖微米精度的超精密腔胞加工、组装与扩散键合技术,以满意满足书架式、直线度与腔胞旋转对准要求。所述测量包括单腔与完整加速段的RF特性,以及SLAC上ASSET测试的尾场。最后还讨论了未来改进。
