赫歇尔对子弹星系团中遮蔽恒星形成的深度观测

摘要

我们利用赫歇尔透镜巡天(HLS)的深五波段(100-500微米)数据,完全约束了子弹星系团(z=0.296)以及同一视场中一个更小的背景系统(z=0.35)内星系的遮蔽恒星形成率SFR_FIR。赫歇尔探测到23个子弹星系团成员,总SFR_FIR = 144 ± 14 M_sun yr^-1。平均而言,背景系统包含更亮的远红外(FIR)星系,其SFR_FIR高出约50%(21个星系;207 ± 9 M_sun yr^-1)。通过近期模板从24微米流量外推的SFR(SFR_24)与约60%的团星系的SFR_FIR吻合良好。在剩余的约40%中,由于观测到的S_100/S_24(静止系S_75/S_18)相比相同FIR光度的模板存在显著过量,SFR_24低估了SFR_FIR。
