omega Centauri双主序星的深度FOR1观测

摘要
我们报告了使用FORS1@VLT进行的深度光度调查结果，旨在调查omega Centauri星际系统中复杂的主序星结构。我们确认了双主序星的存在，并在视场最远达到26'的集群中心处，确定了其蓝色成分(bMS)。我们发现，bMS星比其他“正常”MS星更集中地位于集群中心。已将bMS的形态及其在CMD中的位置用于约束解释观察到主序星形态所需的氦过丰度。
