暗能量巡天第一年结果:弱透镜源星系的红移分布

摘要

我们描述了暗能量巡天(DES)第一年宇宙学分析中用作弱透镜源的星系的红移分布估计及其不确定性的推导与验证。使用贝叶斯测光红移(BPZ)代码将星系分配到z=0.2至1.3之间的四个红移区间,并为区间i生成透镜加权红移分布nⁱ_PZ(z)的初始估计。宇宙学参数的精确确定关键依赖于对nⁱ的了解,但对单个星系的区间分配或红移误差不敏感。宇宙学分析允许通过平移nⁱ(z)=nⁱ_PZ(z-Δzⁱ)来修正nⁱ(z)的平均红移,以校正nⁱ_PZ中的偏差。Δzⁱ通过比较COSMOS场中星系独立估计的30波段测光红移与根据DES griz流量做出的BPZ估计来约束,该比较基于一个在流量、预视宁度尺寸和透镜权重上与DES弱透镜源匹配的样本。在配套论文中,Δzⁱ进一步受到源星系围绕具有可靠测光红移(0.15<z<0.9)的红色星系的角成团性约束。本文详述了BPZ和COSMOS流程,并证明宇宙学推断对nⁱ(z)的细节不敏感,仅取决于Δzⁱ的选择。成团性和COSMOS验证方法产生了一致的Δzⁱ估计,四个区间中的综合不确定性分别为σ_{Δzⁱ}=0.015, 0.013, 0.011和0.022。我们在所有后续分析中边缘化这些不确定性,这并未显著削弱约束能力。使用方向邻域拟合(DNF)算法代替BPZ重复测光红移流程,或使用直接由COSMOS估计的nⁱ(z),在宇宙学推断中未产生可辨别的差异。
