摘要
引力波事件GW170817电磁对应体的识别,以及从TXS 0506+056发现中微子和伽马射线,宣告了多信使天体物理的新时代。随着未来十年多信使事件数量快速增长,处理数据率增加、数据量增大、事件跟进需求以及跨不同信使分析所需的网络基础设施需求也将爆发式增长。增强多信使天体物理的网络基础设施需求对天文学家、物理学家、计算机科学家和网络基础设施专家而言既是一项重大挑战,也是一个机遇。在此我们概述其中部分需求,并主张建立一个分布式多信使天体物理网络基础设施研究所来应对这些挑战。
