我讨论了帕克斯HI多波束南天图对宇宙学的影响。该图将确定HI云的局部质量函数，检测数百个每十倍质量的云。每个云都将伴随一个红移，且对较质量的云提供一个速度宽度的估计。这将为异常运动研究以及测量星系相对于基础物质分布的偏差提供理想的数据库。
