摘要
宇宙学之所以非常激动人心，有以下三个原因。首先，存在一个非常成功的标准模型——热大爆炸模型——描述了宇宙从10^{-2}秒后续的演化。其次，存在大胆的想法，其中最突出的是膨胀和冷暗物质，这些想法可以将标准宇宙学扩展至10^{-32}秒，并解决宇宙学中最根本的问题。最后，来自天空和地球的大量观测数据正在检验膨胀和冷暗物质。
