银河及其卫星星系的宇宙星形成

摘要
我们利用局部天体的观测数据和演化模型来解释最近对宇宙星形成史的确定。通过拟合全局星形成率，该模型预测了球状星系与盘状星系质量之比约为1，以及一个质量约为星体质量的2.3倍的星际介质(IGM)，其金属丰度约为0.1太阳金属丰度。
