本文探讨了低列密Lyman-α吸收体与以气体丰富星系所描绘的大尺度结构之间的关联。将HI Parkes全息星系目录与文献中已知的低红移低列密Lyman-α吸收体进行交叉匹配。吸收体-星系交叉相关函数显示，在1至10h^-1 Mpc的尺度上，吸收体位于类似于星系团质量的引力势阱中。这一统计证据表明，星系团可能是低列密Lyman-α吸收体在z=0时的主要环境。
