六颗O型星被CoRoT卫星在34.3天的运行期间连续观测。数据前所未有的质量使我们能够探测到其中一些恒星(HD 46202以及双星HD 46149和Plaskett星)中甚至低振幅的恒星脉动。这些脉动涵盖了不透明度驱动模式和类太阳随机振荡,两者对O型星的星震学建模都至关重要。在CoRoT光变曲线中还可以看到其他效应,例如双星性和自转调制。一些最热的O型星(HD 46223、HD 46150和HD 46966)以红噪声的存在为主导:我们推测这与次表面对流区有关。
