慢速且内态冷的极性分子的连续导向束

摘要
我们描述了缓冲气体冷却与静电速度过滤相结合的方法，以产生内态冷且慢速的极性分子的高通量连续导向束。在先前的工作（L.D. van Buuren et al., arXiv:0806.2523v1）中，我们利用优化装置展示了氨和甲醛导向束的密度和态纯度结果。此处我们更详细地描述了低温源的技术方面、其运行以及为获得最佳性能而进行的优化实验。通过产生不同分子物种的导向束，展示了该源的通用性。
