对SN 2008D高能中微子辐射的限制

摘要

SN 2008D是一颗距离27 Mpc的核心坍缩超新星,由Swift卫星通过一次相关的X射线闪偶然发现。核心坍缩超新星已被观测到与长伽马射线暴和X射线闪相关联,人们普遍认为它们之间存在物理联系。这种联系可能意味着一些核心坍缩超新星拥有适度相对论性喷流,其中通过质子-质子碰撞产生高能中微子。预测的中微子谱可由切伦科夫中微子探测器(如IceCube)探测到。利用IceCube探测器22根弦在2007-2008年采集的数据,对SN 2008D观测到的X射线闪在时间和空间上相关的中微子信号进行了搜索。基于使用模拟信号和实验背景数据训练的增强决策树分类器选择事件。该分类器针对SN 2008D的位置和假设的“软喷流”中微子谱进行了优化。使用围绕X射线峰值设置的三个搜索窗口,探测了100至10000秒的发射时间尺度。未观测到通过筛选的事件,与0.13个事件的信号预期一致。针对不同的发射时间尺度,推导了核心坍缩超新星μ子中微子通量的上限,并对主要模型参数进行了约束。
