类轴子粒子等赝标量粒子通常与两个光子耦合，从而可能在外部磁场中与光子发生振荡。如果与光子的耦合足够强，这些振荡可能在天体物理源的电磁谱中留下可测量的印记。一种可能的特征是在谱的有限能量范围内存在不规则性。本研究利用 H.E.S.S. 测量的明亮河外 TeV 辐射源 PKS 2155-304 的能谱，搜寻异常不规则性，以对轻自旋 0 粒子与光子的耦合施加限制。
