约束早型星系的丰度与年龄

摘要
我们考虑了宽带中紫外(2000-3000埃)颜色在多大程度上能比光学对应色更好地约束老年恒星族的年龄和丰度。紫外颜色直接测量老年族群的转向点成分。它们随t和Z的变化更为显著,并且在给定的观测精度下能给出比光学波段指数更严格的约束。我们分析了由早型星系观测中的不确定性引起的(t,Z)允许范围。
