ESSnuSB 中大气中子与超束中子的互补性

摘要

ESSnuSB 实验旨在通过探测第二次振荡极大值来实现对 leptonic CP 相 δCP\delta_{CP} 的前所未有分辨率。本文研究了长基线中子计划与大气中子之间的互补性。通过模拟相当于 5.4 Mt\cdotyear 曝露量的大气中子事件,发现 δCP\delta_{\rm CP}^{} 的分辨率在 δCP=90\delta_{\rm CP}^{} = -90^\circ (+90+90^\circ) 时,从 7.57.5^\circ (6.76.7^\circ) 改进至 7.17.1^\circ (6.56.5^\circ)(1σ1\sigma 置信水平),同时也能解决来自中子质量排序的退化问题。这些发现凸显了超束中子与大气中子在 ESSnuSB 中存在的协同效应。
