质子-质子碰撞中 Λ 与 Σ(0) 阈值产生的比较

摘要

给出了关联奇异产生反应 pp --> p K(+) Λ 和 pp --> p K(+) Σ(0) 的阈值测量。尽管观察到激发函数形状有轻微差异,但数据最显著的特征是在相同过剩能量下 Σ(0) 产生的总截面似乎比 Λ 粒子的总截面小约 28 倍。结论是强 Σ(0)-p 末态相互作用,特别是 Σ-N --> Λ-p 转换反应,是 Σ 信号产额减少的可能原因。该假设与文献中的其他实验证据一致。
