FIRST调查源的紧凑结构

我们报告了对faint射电源紧凑结构统计调查的初步结果。约1000个来自VLA FIRST调查的源(在1.4 GHz处通量密度大于1 mJy)已被观察，使用Effelsberg-Arecibo单基线干涉仪器。我们对每个选自赤纬28度窄条天空带的源进行仅一分钟的观察。在1.4 GHz处的基线灵敏度(使用512 Mb/s记录)使得任何随机选取的FIRST源若其大部分通量密度集中在紧凑结构中，都将被检测到。我们讨论来自单一观测时段的检测率统计。
