摘要
在此之前发表的一篇标题为上述内容的信中，Waxman 提出了有趣的观点，即宇宙型伽玛射线暴 (GRBs) 是高能宇宙射线 (UHECR) 的来源。这一假设也由 Milgrom 和 Usov 以及 Vietri 独立提出。然而，最近对 GRBs 及其后glow 的观测，特别是来自 Akeno 大气 shower 数组 (AGASA) 对 UHECR的最新数据，排除了外域 GRBs 作为 UHECR 来源的可能性。
