我们测试了由Pincus [Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA 88 (1991) 2297] 开发的替代数据分析与ApEn规律性统计量的自然组合，将其应用于一些流行的非线性动力学模型和公开可用的实验时间序列。我们发现，这种易于实现的组合为区分由非线性动力学和噪声控制的信号与由线性动力学控制的信号提供了一种有用的方法。此外，还提供了对ApEn的一种看似新颖的物理解释。
