彗星 C/2020 F3 (NEOWISE) 的彗发形态与尘埃发射模式

彗星 C/2020 F3 (NEOWISE) 近期的近距离接近使我们得以研究其内彗发的形态。通过测量绕核扩张的螺旋结构上的尘埃抛射速度,我们估计平均去投影扩张速度 Vd = 1.11±0.08 km s^-1。假设每自转一次形成新的壳层,推导出自转周期为 7.8±0.2 小时。自旋轴取向估计为 RA 210±10d,Dec. +3±10d。彗发形态似乎与核上中纬度处两个强劲、直径相对立的发射相关。对彗发的定性建模得出与广泛尘埃粒径范围(0.80 至 800 微米的微米)一致的结果,其密度呈反相关(0.003 至 3.0 g cm^-3)。用 Vj 与 r-Sloan 滤光片拍摄的图像显示前两个壳层中尘埃更集中,而从第三个壳层向外发射于 B 与 V 波段通的自由基密度增加。尾部的条痕状结构表明尘埃颗粒具有不同尺寸。
