(S+S)二元星系中的颜色关联I:霍尔姆伯格效应

依据其星系光度学,霍尔姆伯格(1958)发现,超过40年前,成对星系的颜色指数彼此密切相关。我们对来自Karachentsev (1972)目录中45对(S+S)配对星系进行深入的宽波段BVRI CCD光度测量,并从文献中补充(B-V)颜色信息(额外50对(S+S)配对星系),以证实这一效应。这种“霍尔姆伯格效应”长期以来一直未被验证也未得到解释。
