极外围相对论性重离子碰撞中的相干光子-光子相互作用

摘要
高速重离子在极短时间内提供极强的电磁场。本文回顾了超外围相对论性重离子碰撞的主要特征，并确定了特征参数。在像LHC这样的相对论性离子对撞机上，超外围重离子碰撞的主要兴趣在于极高能量（等效）光子与反向运动（等效）光子以及强子（质子/离子）的相互作用。这些相互作用的物理与当前和未来激光器所实现的强场物理既有显著不同，又互为补充。
