用于中微子事件成像的编码掩模

摘要

捕获液态氩与氙在带电粒子分子激发下所发射的闪烁光仍是一项具有挑战性的任务。在此我们提出初步尝试,设计一种能够获取足够高亮度以重建电离粒子径迹的装置。该预备研究基于将掩模用于编码光信号并结合单光子探测器。就此而言,所提议的系统能够在约数十厘米的焦距上探测径迹。数值模拟表明,即便信号复杂,也可利用相对有限的采集通道数成功解码与识别信号。此类创新技术在下一代致力于中微子物理与暗物质搜寻的探测器中极具价值。事实上,我们针对 DUNE 实验近探测器中的液态氩靶提出了结合编码掩模与 SiPM 探测器的方案。
