研究 BL Lac 天体在最高能量下的时间变异性,为理解相对论性喷流和超大质量黑洞附近发生的极端物理过程提供了独特的视角。为此,我们在高能(HE, 100 MeV < E < 300 GeV)和甚高能(VHE, E > 200 GeV)伽马射线波段分析了 BL Lac 天体 PKS 2155-304 的长期变异性。在约 9 年的 H.E.S.S. 观测过程中,宁静状态下的 VHE 光变曲线符合对数正态行为。该状态下的 VHE 变异性在大于一天的时间尺度上可由闪烁噪声(功率谱密度指数 β_VHE = 1.10 +0.10 -0.13)很好地描述。对 5.5 年 HE Fermi LAT 数据的分析给出了一致的结果(β_HE = 1.20 +0.21 -0.23,在大于 10 天的时间尺度上),与 VHE 的发现相符。HE 和 VHE 的功率谱密度在所探测的时间范围内显示出尺度不变性。VHE 和 HE 通量之间的直接线性相关既不能被排除,也不能被明确确立。我们讨论了这些长期变异性特征,并将其与 VHE 耀发状态期间在较短时间尺度上看到的红噪声行为(β ~ 2)进行了比较。宁静和耀发状态下 VHE 能段功率谱噪声行为的差异,为这些状态受不同物理过程影响提供了证据,而 HE 和 VHE 长期结果的一致性则暗示可能存在一个共同的物理联系,例如由潜在的喷流-吸积盘连接所引入。
