Chandra对年轻脉冲星PSR B0540-69的观测

摘要
年轻脉冲星PSR B0540-69是Chandra X射线天文台最初观测的目标之一。Chandra的高角分辨率使我们能够分辨围绕脉冲星的致密星云。我们确定了PSR B0540-69的位置为R.A. = 05h 40m 11s.221, decl. = -69o 19' 54".98 (J2000)，其1-sigma径向不确定性为0.7"。结合我们对脉冲星周期的测量值与覆盖12年跨度的先前测量值，我们推导出了摩擦指数为2.08。脉冲发射的光谱与幂律光谱相符，其光子指数为1.83 +/- 0.13。致密星云的光谱较软，光子指数为1.85至2.26。
