摘要
我们讨论了在RHIC的周边重离子碰撞中σ介子的可能产生及其双光子衰变模式的探测。假设E791合作组最近报道的质量和总衰变宽度值，我们验证了如果σ介子到光子的部分衰变宽度为几keV量级，则可以在子过程γγ→γγ中观测到它。
